Current and Emerging Gastrointestinal Endoscopic Imaging is intended to highlight advances in endoscopic examination of the gastrointestinal tract. The outstanding photographs, micrographs, illustrations, animations and videos explain important concepts in indications, instrumentation, techniques and complications for different endoscopic procedures, thereby providing a unique teaching and self-educational resource. This material provides a framework for using the slides for self-education and to teach practicing clinicians, fellows, residents and medical students. The senior author, William R. Brugge, MD, Associate Professor of Medicine, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA and Director of Endoscopy at Massachusetts General Hospital, assembled a highly talented team of endoscopists to co-author this unit.
