About GASTROSLIDES

GASTROSLIDES (formerly Gastroenterology Teaching Project) is a continuing educational resource directed since 1975 by the Education and Training Committee of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA) Institute.

For almost 30 years, this project has provided gastroenterologists, hepatologists, basic scientists and others with sets of images that are developed by experts in their respective fields. To facilitate teaching of frequently complex concepts and processes these units, which address common gastrointestinal and liver diseases, integrate basic science and clinical medicine in a format that intersperses stunning artwork with actual clinical images. These authoritative images can be used to teach medical students, house officers, subspecialty fellows, primary care physicians and other healthcare professionals.

The internationally-renowned authors who supervise the content of each GASTROSLIDES unit ensure that the latest information and the newest diagnostic and therapeutic modalities are presented clearly, without bias. The presenter has the flexibility of selecting images in any order, with the addition of images from other sources, to create individual presentations suited for any audience or duration. Each high-quality graphic (endoscopic photo, X-ray, CT or MR image, bar or line graph, schematic, etc.) is accompanied by a detailed explanatory legend that contains appropriate and up-to-date literature citations.

Innovations that continue the GASTROSLIDES tradition of excellence include the addition of illustrative clinical examples for case-based teaching, on-line access to individual slides, customization of slide sets or entire units that can be downloaded electronically or purchased in CD-ROM format (limited availability); and multiple language versions of some units. GASTROSLIDES units can also be used as self-educational tools.

We are pleased that you have chosen to browse and/or purchase this remarkable teaching tool and encourage you to contact us with any comments or suggestions for future offerings.
